We, at the Stream School of Music, are committed to encouraging and promoting an appreciation for the love of Music.
The Stream School of Music was founded in 1996 by Mrs. Riva Miller and is currently operating in Richmond Hill. Riva Miller has studied with Pnina Zaltzman, a pupil of the distinguished pianist, conductor, and teaching Methodist, Alfred Cortot.
Our School follows the Royal Conservatory of Music (RCM) program. Students have successfully passed all grades of the RCM examinations, including Performer's ARCT and Teacher's ARCT. Students continue to win numerous awards for their performances in various Canadian contests and take great pride in their accomplishments.
The Stream School of Music provides an opportunity for its students to participate in festivals and music competitions, in order to provide experience in live performance. We encourage each student to partake in the Holiday Season Gala Concert held each year.
Classes are offered in Theory, Harmony, History and Ear-training -- both privately or in a group environment. A program for gifted children is also offered, which will help to further your child's talents.
It is important to start musical development at a very early age. Music appreciation classes for children ages 2-4, are designed to instill a love of music in your child, as well as teach him or her to listen, participate and enjoy the world of music through story telling, drawing, instrument exploration, performances and various other techniques. Students will discover music through self-expression.
